A Young Female with SARS-CoV-2 Infection Presenting with Concurrent Neurological and Pulmonary Manifestations: A Case Report

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), besides its well-known deleterious effects on the respiratory system, is also reported to affect central nervous system (CNS), presenting with neurological manifestations, that are commoner among older patients associated co-morbidities and in critically ill COVID pneumonia. Infective, cerebrovascular, hypoxic-toxic-metabolic etiology have been implicated. Reported outcomes poor persistent deficits majority who survived. We report a young lady presented manifestations alongside moderately severe COVID-19 Diagnosed early managed as encephalopathy after excluding infective cerebrovascular aetiology. Responded well conservative measures made complete recovery. Early recognition of followed by institution appropriate therapies improved outcomes.
